We are members of the ‘Point Information Jeunesse’ (the ‘PIJ’ in acronym or the ‘Youth Information Center’ in English). We are a responsible association based in Moulins, a town located in the center of France. We are looking for a young volunteer for our European Solidarity Corps Volunteering project that will represent the ambassador of the European Mobility.
Our center is well known from the young people of the conurbation of Moulins but also other actors. It informs the local youth in different topics such as studies, jobs, lifelong learning, leisure, daily life, holidays, sports, internships, health and accommodation. The public is quite varied: students, young people out of school, unemployed young people or young people in difficulty. The PIJ organizes yearly many events that are free and open to everyone. Among its different actions, the PIJ raises the youth’s awareness concerning the question of the international mobility and the European mobility that is becoming more and more important in today’s world.
We are looking for partners and participants within the European Union or among other countries to bring our project into being.
We are looking for a young volunteer from 20 to 30 years old who is determined and motivated to live an experience in France surrounded by young people supervised by the team of the two youth informers. We are seeking a young applicant who is able to speak further languages especially: French and/or English and/or Spanish; who has skills in project buildings for instance and who wants to develop their personal and professional skills as well as their linguistic skills.
With the help of the PIJ, you will bring your mobility experience into good use. You will have the opportunity to work with young people from different profiles. The idea is to make them aware of the question of mobility in general. Therefore, it is required that you implement some project activities from different topics:
- Knowledge and culture
- The role of the youth in the society
- Organization of events such as the ‘café des Langues’ with different activities around languages
- Teaching languages
- Knowledge of the volunteer work
This experience among the Point Information Jeunesse will allow the young volunteer to acquire a good experience to add in their CV but also that may change their life.
