Keep Calm and Start Coaching! Training Course for youth workers/leaders will be organized in 31 August - 09 September 2018 in Dunasziget, Hungary.
There is evidence that youth who participate in life coaching programs experience multiple benefits to their health, social and emotional well-being as well as their academic success. It has integrated concepts from multiple discipline. According to International Coaching Federation coaching is „partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”. Well, yes. We, youth workers/leaders are doing THIS exactly.
With this training course we would like to systematize our knowledge about the topic and focus on un/employment issues and assist youth workers in developing a coaching approach to improve the quality development of youth work with the support of E+.
To learn what is coaching and it can be applied to the youth work • To learn how to use and adapt coaching methods and tools easily in their daily work; • To strengthen the learning process by implementing the full coaching
cycle: set goals, identify new possibilities, make decisions, take actions, and reflect; • To work on personal and professional development in order to improve theirs and others’ employability prospects; • To build a necessary set of competences for proficient use of non-formal education instruments and coaching tools for youth empowerment at local level • To present the Erasmus+ programme and to encourage the creation of future projects with unemployed youngsters • To empower youth workers to become quality youth trainers of non-formal education activities • To share experiences / realities learn from that experiences • To bring an innovative and empowering mind set to youth workers by means of individual and group coaching methods and tools; • To help youth workers to increase participation of young people in society, including those with fewer opportunities.
Workshops: coaching techniques (theory and practice), personal achievements, sharing bast practices, youth un/employment, meeting professional head-hunters and HR specialists, etc
Methods: Education through Sport and Art, Learning by Doing, Living Library, Discussion, Debate, etc.
Profile of participants:
- The participants will be youth work professionals/youth leaders interested in acquiring a coaching approach in their practices.
- We are looking for 30 participants from programme countries.
- The participants should have a working level of English • They need to be over 18 years old.
